This is a true story that came over the Reuters news wire...

France has a new sophisticated firefighting system in which a "flying boat" skims the surface of nearby lakes and sucks up very large quantities of water that it then drops on forest fires. They got the chance to try the system recently and it met with rousing success. A miracle of firefighting technology the media called it.

A short while later they reported having found a body in the burned area. Surprisingly, although the remains were charred, it was determined that man had actually died as a result of falling from a great height.

Curiously, he was also dressed in swim trunks and snorkel gear...
