About This Picture...
We're starting to get into the high
country here. I believe this was taken along the
final climb up to Donahue Pass. I've always been in love with the Sierras,
but
never really got a chance to enjoy them until three years ago when we took our
first extended trip into the back country of Yosemite.
On of my fondest dreams was to
stand at the top of a mountain and let the wind blow
through my hair. Every year I get that chance now, and it is just as good
in reality
as it was in my daydreams.
Best of all, we now live in the
foothills of the Sierras at about five thousand feet,
surrounded by the lush forests of Gold Rush country.
